One fine day I climbed a tower of books,
Practicing balance instead of good looks.
A squirrel judged calmly, tail smug with delight,
Clearly convinced I’d wobble by night.
But warmth won the day, not reason or rule,
Turns out balance is playful, not sensible or cool.
Between books and branches, with laughter at play,
I didn’t fall over. A very fine day.
